Junior Club Championship!
Well done to all of the juniors that took part in our Junior Club Championship on Sunday. The first round was a very wet one, however the juniors returned some great scores. An impressive 72 from Louis Hindle saw him top the morning round from Dean Hodges (Defending Champion) who was right on his tail with a 74. There was a 9 hole stretch in the second round that was not kind to Louis who was struggling with nerves. Therefore Dean Hodges took the spoils once again to take the Junior Club Championship crown, well done Dean! Charlie Ellam picked up the best nett prize with another impressive nett 65 in the morning. Well done boys!
Thanks to Mike Morley for organising proceedings and the rest of the junior section for their hard work.

We have the full range of SuperStroke grips in stock so if you would like to improve you're putting, come and see us in the pro shop and try one today.
New In - Waterproof Bags
Have you had enough of them summer showers which soak your bag and accessories? Why not invest in a fully waterproof golf bag. These bags have sealed zips so that water cannot penetrate the pockets. This will keep everything inside your bag dry, a big advantage when it is just a shower. I have a limited number of these bags that will be in the sale evening (Friday 4th September) However if you quote 'sale evening early bird' I will offer you the discount early which is 30% OFF all waterproof bags in stock. Pictured is the Callaway range. Click here to reserve yours.
Greenkeepers hard at work
It's great to see the greenkeepers working hard at keeping these greens in fantastic condition. Here is one of the recent purchases the green staff have made, the iron, this helps us to have smooth putting surfaces all year round. Things like this set us apart from other clubs who are deeply hollow tining their greens. Keep up the good work boys.
Thanks to Richard and Mark Willett for a great Captain Pro Match on Sunday morning. There was some really impressive golf played by our current Captain Peter Rushbrook the match finished with us winning 2 up. It was a great effort by our captain who was -3 at one point. Thanks for a great mornings golf guys.
We also had a great game against Mark Smith and Bill Orford, unfortunately we lost our game. Bill played some impressive golf taking the match all the way to the last. Unfortunately we lost 1 down. Thanks guys for a great afternoon.
Enjoy the rest of the newsletter and have a great weekend.
