New Staff at Harpenden Common Golf Club
We are having a little change around in Staff at Harpenden Common Pro Shop. Harry Topping is no longer going to work on Saturdays so he can focus on his GCSC's. Good luck to Harry with these and keep up the good golf!
However we are really excited to welcome Callum Austin to the team. Callum is 21 years old a member of Verulam Golf Club and currently playing off a handicap of 7.
His aspiration is to lower his handicap enabling him to partake the PGA Degree programme.
Callum previously worked with the PSD (Primary Sporting Development) who provide a cost effective way to manage school teaching staff's PPA cover and offer high quality Physical Education lessons. So callum is very used to coaching juniors with this excellent experience.
When he has any spare time outside golf he likes playing rugby where he plays for Camelot 1st team either in scrum half or full back.
Callum is starting on Monday so pop in and say hello to him.
On Tuesday we had Callaway come to Harpenden Common with their European Tour custom fit specialist for the day. Having a fitting is the best way you can get the correct clubs for you. They will improve your golf.
The day was a great success with many members being fiitted for their correct clubs.
We have had the busiest week so far for competitions last week with the Mid week medal on the 18th, the AB's Stableford 20th, Mixed, Monthly Medal and Anniversary Trophy on the 21st. Here are the results.
