So far this month, my online lessons have been proving a great success. Even remotely I'm surprised how much can be achieved in a short amount of time.

Here we see my client with a flying right elbow and left arm that's too high above his shoulder plane (shoulder angle).

This excessive arm movement often leads to an over the top (out to in) move in the downswing. If you can correct the initial fault, you often find other swing faults disappear in the process, as we see here.

Crucially, as with any dysfunctional movement pattern, it's important to know if it's caused by any physical limitations first. This then directly affects the next course of action.

In this instance, my client when TPI screened showed great shoulder and thoracic spine mobility meaning the swing fault was caused by habit, not a physical limitation. Then it's just a matter of educating the new movement.
