Congratulations Ken Brown!

Ken Brown has received an MBE from the Queen’s birthday honours this year.

This is a huge achievement, and from everyone in the Pro Shop we would like to congratulate you!

Lomas Cup Wednesday

We had some truly fantastic scores in this year’s Lomas cup with two nett 65’s from Alan Craig and Tom Hunter. However, there can only be one winner. Winning on countback, Alan Craig is this year’s Lomas Cup winner!

3rd - Luke Murphy - Nett 66 - £22 Shop

Burley Trophy Saturday

We had 37 pairs enter this year’s burley Trophy which is a good turn out, especially as the weather wasn’t the nicest in parts of the weekend. Of course, we had some good scores as always with the best score being 45 points from one pair. Well done to everyone that played!

1st - Tim Cunningham & John Brawn - 55 points - £61.68 Each
2nd - Roger Tyler & Willie Watson - 43 points - £37 Each
3rd - Tom Hunter & John Coelho - 43 Points - £24.67 Each

Robinson Rosebowl Stableford Sunday

68 people entered this year's Robinson Rosebowl which is a great turn out especially for a Sunday competition. The course was playing hard on Sunday with some wind and rain to make things tricky, with the scores reflecting on these conditions.

However we had a few people who played under their handicap and the winner being our very own General Manager Terry Crump!

1st - Terry Crump - 38 points - £68
2nd - John Dickinson - 38 points - £40.80
3rd - Andrew Dunn - 37 points - £27.20

The Tour Shed Quick Tip - 4th Hole

The fourth hole can be a very tricky par 4 especially due to the size of the green, but you can easily reduce the number of strokes you have on this hole. One of the best ways to play this hole is aiming for short of the green. This might seem weird but due to the green being so narrow, a lot of people aim to hit the green and give themselves very hard chips to the left and right of the green.

At the front of the green there is no danger and gives you a nice easy chip straight up the middle of the green giving you the most green to work with. This gives you a much higher chance of getting up and down. Hitting a nice easy shot towards the front of the green or just short allows for a bad shot where you won’t be in any danger, but if you hit a good one it then also allows the ball to just roll onto the green!

The custom fitting price is £40 for 45 minutes. During this time, we see how your current clubs perform against all the new gear. From there, we can then see what shafts and heads work best to maximize your performance allowing you to play your best golf!

Ladies Fashion Event - Models wanted!

This week we have the ladies fashion show on Thursday 13th June.

It's running from 9am - 12noon so make sure you pop along to see all the clothes and enjoy the fun!

The surprize shop accessories are now all in the ladies changing room and we have loved all the feedback we have been getting. It’s great being able to have all the products in there for you to look at and try on in your own time. If you like anything from the stand just bring it down to the shop to pay1

There will be prosecco and nibbles available to everyone and it should be a really fun day!
