Sam Morley wins the Junior Match Play Trophy

A massive congratulations to Sam Morley for fighting off the junior section to take the Junior Match Play Trophy final against Louis Hindle last Saturday. Well done boys!

Tigers Team

Firstly well done to the tigers team on winning there division this year. On the finals day the team had to play against east Herts in a Matchplay 4BBB Over 18 holes unfortunately the match didn't go our way with a 4 1/2 - 1/2 Loss. Still a success for the new Tigers Team captain Alan Craig. Well done guys better luck next year

Scratch Team

The final game of our scratch league was away to Sandy Lodge, With our team needing just a draw to win the league it was always going to prove difficult away to sandy lodge, After the morning rounds the score was set at 2.5 - 1.5 down to sandy lodge. It was always going to be tough to win all of the singles in the afternoon. Unfortunately it didn't go our way in the afternoon, we lost 6.5 - 5.5

But well done to Alex and his team for representing the club and making us all proud.

Ryder Cup Competition

The Ryder Cup is starting tomorrow and so is the Ryder Cup Competition at Harpenden Common Golf Club. This will a 4bbb comp open to men and ladies running from tomorrow until Sunday evening.

You can enter as many times as you like as long as you are with a different partner. It is Stableford format and £5 entry per team. There will be some good prizes for the top three pairs.

Ladies Coaching session

I have recently took on a new ladies group session on a Friday. They are from complete novices to some who have played a little before.

The first session was chipping and putting but after hearing they just wanted to "Whack" the ball, last week we worked on the long game and target practice. The progression last week was great and the ladies are already keen for this week.

Junior Academy

The girls group are really making progress within the academy. Getting girls into golf has seemed to be a difficult task in recent years, I am really impressed that these girls are keen to get better! They are a real motivation for all our junior academy members.

Disabled Coaching

The disabled coaching is getting stronger and stronger as the weeks go on, I now have 2 sessions, one being with the St Albans Special Olympics team. Here are a few videos of what goes on
