Lads on tour

It was great to see a picture of Tony Ho, Dale Hathaway, Tom Bunce, Gary Mcarthy, Mark Quamina and Lee Deradour having a lads golf trip down to Princess in Kent. You certainly picked a nice weekend to go.

Fitting Success

Over the last couple of months, myself and Mark have had a couple of fittings to add some new clubs into his bag, Mark was not getting the distance off the tee and needed something to get him not only further down the fairway, but also down the middle! After trying a few different drivers, we couldn't quite get it to work.

After trying various different lofts and shafts we opted for the G400 Driver, but with a 3-wood length shaft. This isn't a normal spec club you would find on the shelf, this shows why custom fitting is so important.

If the club you have bought isn't quite working for you let us know and we can give you a quick MOT and check that the specification is correct for you we do this with the latest GCQUAD launch monitor giving us the most accurate golf ball and club data around!

Lomas Cup

We have had another busy week of competitions. First of all with the Lomas Cup, with a great score from Paul McAvoy with a gross 67 playing off scratch. With this form I can’t wait for the Club Championship, there’s so many people that could win. The top 5 were…

Coaching news

Junior Camps & message from Ryan

Hi everyone, my name is Ryan Walters and as of May 28th I will be taking over as The Academy director and head coach at Harpenden Common GC.

I grew up as a junior here for many years and I am really excited to now have the opportunity to help and develop the Juniors now associated with Harpenden Common.

We are looking to provide an excellent summer of events and fun days for all ages, please see below for the what’s coming up next.

Schedule for May half-term:

Wednesday 10am - 3pm
Thursday 10am - 3pm
Friday 10am - 3pm

£35 per day or book 3 days for £90. Bring a packed lunch. Extra snacks and refreshments will be provided on the day.

Junior Weekend Academy Coaching

Due the horrendous weather at the start of the year, the first course has run a few weeks over so this time round we have had to make a few adjustments to fit in with the holidays. The September course will be back to a 12 week plan.

8 - week course - £75

One way to hit the ball further is to swing faster, but more often than not this will harm your accuracy and your quality of strike.
