Last week we had two Captain/Pro matches that were extremely close and great fun, but unfortunately the challengers both won 1up and 2up. Here are both the pictures of the teams.

Special Olympics

Special Olympics St Albans Golf coaching is back up and running with the biggest group yet having 14 participants.

It was a great session working on a skills test on short game.

There were lots of points scored and a lot of fun had. Here we are pictured here.

Junior Camps & message from Ryan

Hi everyone, my name is Ryan Walters and as off May 28th I will be taking over as The Academy director and head coach at Harpenden Common GC.

I grew up as a junior here for many years and I am really excited to now have the opportunity to help and develop the Juniors now associated with Harpenden Common.

We are looking to provide an excellent summer of events and fun days for all ages, please see below for the what’s coming up next.

Schedule for May half-term:

Wednesday 10am - 3pm
Thursday 10am - 3pm
Friday 10am - 3pm

£35 per day or book 3 days for £90. Bring a packed lunch. Extra snacks and refreshments will be provided on the day.

Junior Weekend Academy Coaching

Due the horrendous weather at the start of the year, the first course has run a few weeks over so this time round we have had to make a few adjustments to fit in with the holidays. The September course will be back to a 12 week plan.

8 - week course - £75

Saturday June 2nd – Saturday July 21st

1.15pm - 2.15pm

Sunday 3rd July - Sunday 22 July

10.15am - 11.15am
11am - 12pm
12pm - 1pm
1.30pm - 2.30pm

Callaway XR Speed Driver

The all new Callaway XR speed driver is new in the shop along with the fairway woods. The new driver benefits from a new face design called X face VFT (Variable Face thickness). This new design is meant to help maximize your ball speeds across the whole club face.

Along with the new face design, the driver has new and improved aerodynamics and airflow all over the club head. This comes from Callaway's latest Speed Step on the head of the club which is there to increase clubhead speed even more than before.

Trust = Power
