Another exciting club championship came to an end last Saturday. I hope you all found my pin placements difficult but fair. Here is a picture of me and the green staff getting the course ready Friday afternoon.
Our defending champion Tony Wilkins carded a first round 70 to have a 2 shot lead on the field with Paul McAvoy close behind on +2.
The afternoon round proved more difficult with wind and rain causing tricky conditions. Tony managed to keep his cool and shot a +1 71 round to make him club champion once again for the second time in a row.
Well done Tony!

Annette Brown's lessons paying off
Before
After
Annette came for a lesson last week and my coaching technique is not to rebuild your swings from scratch but to alter them slightly to improve your game and increase your enjoyment. As you can see here Annette was moving off the ball on the back swing a little too much also known as swaying. When there is a little too much movement on your swing you will have an inconsistent strike and less accuracy. As you can see here the improvement is really visible and it didn't take too long to get her striking the ball nicely again. Well done Annette and hopefully this continues in the future.
