Pro's news

Matt makes PROgress

Our Pro Shop Manager Matt Binstead has now been accepted by the PGA and will start his training to become a fully qualified PGA professional.

This now means Matt is officially a PGA training professional so very shortly he will be able to accept lesson bookings and Harpenden Common Golf Club will have another coach for our members to seek advise and benefit from! Watch this space!

Woburn visit

Rob and Josh visited Woburn Golf Club for the Senior European Tour competition, The Travis Perkins Senior Masters, they were watching junior member Sam Morley caddy for Garry Wolthenhome whilst his dad Mick Morley caddied for Cesar Monasterio.

Captain/Pro

This week we had two Captain/Pro matches, one on Sunday and then again on Monday.

Sunday's match was against David Thompson (treasurer) and Matt Hignall, they are a strong pairing and managed to take the match by one hole.

The match on Monday was against Bill Orford and Mark Desaram and was another very tight match that finished all square on the 18th.

First place, Craig Winter (43 points, handicap 15), wins £92.87 for the shop.

Second place, James Day (42 points, handicap 11), wins £62.75 for the shop.

Third place, Thomas Dolan (40 points, handicap 16), wins £42.67 for the shop.

Fourth place, Charles Green (40 points, handicap 8), wins £30.12 for the shop.

Fifth place, Francis Cassidy (40 points, handicap 7), wins £22.59 for the shop.

Second place, Martin Streets (38 points, handicap 5).

Last week of Odyssey O-Works demo

As most of our members will know or have seen we have the complete range of Odyssey O-Works putters in the shop and ready to be demo’d by anyone who would like to see the differences they can make first hand.

This is going to be the last week we have these putters for this use so it’s a great chance for anyone looking to update their putter or see what works best for them to take full advantage of this opportunity!
