Hankin Qualifies For County Champs At East Herts

Sunday, 14 May was the day the Herts Salver and qualifier for the County Championships were held at a difficult and bouncy East Herts Golf Club. With only 16 players qualifying from a large field of handicaps 4 and below, Harpenden Commons' Simon Hankin made it through in 7th place with a gross score of 73 (+2).

This is a great result and The Common will now have 3 representations at Brookmans Park GC where the championship finals will be held.

 

Coronation Cup & Gingell Trophy

This week the club will be running the Coronation Cup on all days throughout the week where the top 16 at the end of the week will qualify for the matchplay stage. Saturday 20th will see the start of the Gingell Trophy which will also be running on Wednesday 24th and Sunday 28th May throughout the day.

Junior Masters Trophy & Festival of Golf Trophy

On Sunday 14th May, the junior section played their masters and festival of golf trophy competing for best nett and lowest gross respectively. There was some high-quality golf played and Harry Topping, Junior Captain, claimed both prizes with a score of 74 gross, 68 nett. Congratulations Harry! Results summary below:
