We all have specific skills to reach all your goals in 2017!

 

Captains Drive In 

Firstly I would like to thank the outgoing captains for their fantastic year including Don Engstom (club), Gill Taverner (Lady) and Louis Hindle (Junior). I especially would like to thank Don Engstom for his year as club captain the highlights for me were playing in the Captain/Pro matches which I have thoroughly enjoyed.

On Sunday 1st January we welcomed the new Captains with the annual Captains Drive In. We had a good turnout considering the weather was awful. 

If you didn't manage to come up on Sunday here is what happened.....

All three Captain handled the pressure extremely well. Kevin Parsons (Club Captain) hit a fantastic shot to 13 feet and only just missed the birdie putt. Felicity Burgess (Lady Captain) made a fantastic up and down from short of the green and Harry Topping (Junior Captain) hit a magnificent iron shot straight over the flag I thought it was going to go in the hole, however just went a little long. 

Anyway congratulations to all the captains and not to mention the Caddies who are also our vice Captains: Laurence Weir (Club), Gill Hanson (Lady) Sam Morley (Junior). Here are some picture from the day.

   

   

 

Junior Presentation Evening 

Just before Christmas the Juniors had their annual Prize giving evening after the three club competition. Congratulation to Louis Hindle who Won Player of the Year and Harry Topping who received Clubman of the year. A huge congratulations must go to the whole team though for winning the finals day team event. 

   

I also must say it was great to see 5 members of the winning team come through the Rob Leonard Junior Golf Academy.
