Titleist Ball Review 

Two weeks ago I gave our scratch team captain Alex Turner and bar manager and past County Champion Ian Farrent a sleeve of the not yet released Pro V1 Golf Balls. 

Here is what they said.. 

Ian - "I thought the ball was very good and seemed to go a bit further. More of a launched rainbow flight with less spin which suits me. Also like all Pro V'1s it still has great feel on and around the green." 

   

Alex - "I've always liked Pro V1's and to be honest I couldn't notice any difference. However the scratch team will still be using them." 

I think Alex must have lost them in the trees before he really gave them a go. Anyway thank you for your feedback and I will look forward to the launch in Feb/March time next year.

Golf Club Review - PING G 3 Crossover 

Having struggled to keep my woods in play recently, I was recommended by Josh Emerton (Fitting Expert) to try the PING G 3 Crossover as an alternative off the tee. I found the Crossover to be a more: versatile, forgiving option that allowed me to find the fairway with confidence, with no loss of distance compared to my wayward driver. 

It also offered a more penetrating and lower ball flight than a wood/hybrid, making it ideal for use in the recent tricky windy conditions. Due to the versatility and forgiveness offered by Crossover, this club could easily be added to the bag of low/mid handicappers who are looking for a new option off the tee on tight par fours or in windy conditions, as well as the higher handicappers who are also maybe looking for that confidence building club from the tee blocks. 

   

Overall a good option and provided something different. Highly recommended!

Foremost Conference 

Last week we attended the Foremost Conference. This is a learning few days including marketing techniques, product information and life skills. It was at the Stadium MK which was a fantastic venue. You will probably see some changes in relation to the shop and also if you filled in our survey I will be giving you a call to thank you. I will call everyone by mid-December.
