Captain Pro Match 

On a Glorious Sunday morning Don & Rob revived there partnership in the latest Captain Pro match. Hoping to bounce back from their defeat last week. This week they took on the formidable team of Alex Clayton & Duncan Craddock. A tightly contested match game went all the way down the 18th, which ended in a 1 hole win for Alex & Duncan. That makes 2 defeats for the Captain and Pro but I'm sure this won't last long.

 

Lesson of the Week 

It was great to see Richard Oliver back playing golf after 18 months and recovering from a stroke. A few holes played in the sunshine and new ideas to work on, it's no wonder this is such a great game to play. Welcome back Richard.

   
 
Ladies Academy 

The ladies Saturday beginner class is back up and running. Was great to see some new faces in the class as we continue to expand our ladies section. Great work ladies, keep it up! 

Ladies roll-ups are also available for anyone looking for some weekly tuition on their golf. 

Thursdays - 1.15pm-2.15pm 
Saturdays - 2.30pm-3.30pm

Junior Academy 

The Junior Academy is now in its second term of the year and was back this weekend with some fantastic weather attached with it, long may it continue. The juniors were working on their putting, whilst we were on the course with some of the other juniors.

Greenkeepers Hard at work 

All this week the Green staff have been hard at work to get the course in great condition to match the beautiful weather. I'm sure you will all agree that the greens have been running true and fast and this is all thanks to the hard work the team put in (plus a hand from the clubs Iron) as well as the general course condition being superb.

Mid-Summer Mixed Competition 

The summer has finally arrived this weekend and this was certainly the case on Saturday!! With the sun shining and temperatures rising it was Tony & Felicity Burgess who were on hot form and took the win. Tony was aided with his new Custom Fitted Callaway XR Driver. Congratulations to you both.

Junior Winter Matchplay Finals 

What a weekend of weather we had last week, We also had the final of our junior winter Match Play. It was very far from the snow we had last month. The match was between Louis Hindle & Arthur Andrew vs Callum Mchale & Dean Hodges.

Well done to Louis Hindle & Arthur Andrews winning on the last hole! Thanks to Alex Thurgood for being the rules official and to Bob for presenting the trophy.
