Firstly I'd like to thank all of the members and my friends who supported me on my journey to running the London marathon! Unfortunately I was struck with a bad chest infection on the Friday which left me struggling to breath, but I couldn't let everybody down so I battled on through and finished my marathon in 4 hours & 23 minutes. I had aimed to do it in 3 hours 40.
I am still very pleased with my time and really pleased with all the money I have raised. I couldn't have done it without all of you. Here are some pictures of the day.
Junior Championship
It was Junior Championship weekend at Harpenden Common which saw the juniors compete for the prestigious Championship Trophy. The juniors competed over a few holes which saw them test all the skills they have learnt over the past 11 weeks to shoot the best score possible. Everyone played well and should be really proud of themselves.
The results will be revealed on the Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th May which is the start of the new term with lots of prizes to give out. If you would like to get your son/daughter involved in the next Rob Leonard Junior Academy Term, then don't hesitate to contact us to get them signed up. Each term runs for 12 weeks and is the best way to get your children started into the game of golf.
