Lynx Fitting Day

We had a ladies only fitting day with Lynx on the 29th March, with all the latest equipment there for the ladies to try out. 

It was great to see the ladies out there having a go with some new equipment and someone even walked away with a new set of woods.

Great weather for the Hertfordshire schools team event which was won by our very junior member, Callum Mchale and his two other school team mates! 

Callum and his team now advance to the national finals which is to be played at Woodhall Spa later in the year, Very well done Callum!

The Ladies roll-up sessions and beginner classes are still going very strong, pictured below is one of my beginner classes on their 4th week now, hitting full shots. In 2 weeks' time they will be playing on the main course for the first time, an amazing achievement with only 6 weeks of practice behind them. Excellent work ladies! 

I have another beginner ladies class starting on the Saturday 16th April at 10.00am-11am. 

It's a 6 week course for only £50, great instruction with a nice and relaxed environment, what more could you want to get started!

The children had a great week working on all aspects of their short game, Bunkers, chipping and putting. 

The short game is such a big part of the game with gets overlooked all the time and this week we made the children more aware of how important it really is.

A high percentage of people will just hit balls on the range when they practice without even looking at their short game. 

Next time you go practice try and spend some more time chipping and putting rather than whacking balls away on the range and I guarantee you'll save more shots out on the course.

I thought I'd let the boys tell you how they are progressing and what they have planned for this year.

Hi everyone, 
I would just like to keep you up to date on how i'm progressing with my career and how my golf is going, Over the past year i have been expanding my custom fitting knowledge with various courses all over the country learning what i hope can give you the best custom fit service available. As for my golf.... I played in the first medal last week and after a great 14 holes a disappointing gross 76! But my aims for this year are to get down as low as I can and play more events than I have any other year.

Dear members, 
I would just like to thank you all for making me feel so welcome since I have started. It's been great to meet such a friendly membership. Over the next year I will be playing on the European Disabled Tour, as well as numerous county events. First up this season will be the French Open on 29th April - 2nd May, this is being played at St Omer Golf Club hosts of the Najeti French Open on the challenge tour. I will be starting my PGA course in October which I'm eager to start!! I look forward to meeting more of you and hope to get some rounds in soon.

Hi everyone, 
I've been here just over 2 months now and would like to thank the whole membership for the warm welcome, coming up in the next few weeks I have got my final exams for my PGA Foundation Degree which I'm studying hard for and can't wait to be finished. 

After my exams, I will be looking to play some Pro-Am events throughout the year on the east region and would be great to play alongside the members here at Harpenden Common so If you would be interested please come and speak to me in the Pro-Shop. 

One of my main aims for the year is to expand and develop my coaching with each section here at the club.
