Pros news

Rob's Run

As some of you might know I am running the London Marathon in April for MS. I have never completed any running event in the past so last weekend Ian Mccreery invited me to run the Silvertone Half Marathon.

It was a great fun event and event though my preparation was not upto scractch I finished in a reasonable time. There were 7,500 people running and before you say it I was not last. I finished in 1 hour 49 minutes and Ian finished in 1 hour 38 minutes. Like I say I am running the London Marathon on Sunday 24th April any support will be gratefully received.

My aim is to raise £2000 for the MS Society. My Dad has suffered with MS for over 20 years so is very close to my heart. If you can support me by donating on my Just giving page below I would be very grateful. Also as a little incentive if you donate over £75 I will give you a FREE lesson.

Josh learning again..

Last week josh was learning the ins and outs of the custom fitting process and building golf clubs. He had a great week learning with the Diamond Golf Academy Based in Bognor Regis this is a new academy building the knowledge of the golf industry of the importance of custom fitting and club building.

if you have any questions for josh feel free to come in the shop any time and he will be more than happy to answer your questions. with josh's extensive knowledge we aim to provide the best service to our customers.

Last week's trivia..

Last week we asked the question of how far does our new team member Chris Foster hit the ball.

We are happy to announce the results in this video below.

Chris hits the ball a massive 294 yards! Unfortunately nobody answered correctly.

This week's trivia..

We all know how far Chris hits it but what about our junior academy director George Littlejohn.

So, how far does George hit the ball?

The correct answer will receive a £30 voucher.

Please click here with your answers.

Junior academy

This week at the rob Leonard junior academy, the children were working on their full swings. Learning the basic fundamentals essential to make a good golf swing. 4 key fundamentals we were working on were:

G-rip
A-im
S-tance
P-osture

By following a simple routine the children found it easy to get into a correct set-up, making great swings over and over again.

Well done everyone...great work!

By making sure your correctly set-up to the ball each time will really help your with your ball striking consistency.

This week we will be looking to get out on the course and play some holes!
