Trolley Dash Champ Gets Prepared.. 

Dick Dew our trolley dash champion came for a fitting this week to check what he grabbed was right for him. 

Josh took Dick through the fitting process taking note of his spin rate, launch angle, swing speed and finding the best possible specification to optimise his figures. 

I am extremely confident this will start to show in Dick results this season. Good luck!

This will ultimately allow you to hit more greens and fairways and give you that added confidence when standing over the ball.

 

Our Rob Leonard Junior Golf Academy started this weekend with 8 fun packed sessions taking place. We also had our prize giving for last term. The juniors play for order of merits which are based on the following: Behaviour, Attitude and Performance. Golf is a great sport as it is fun, competitive and also helps with life skills, these order of merits highlights some important attributes. There is also an Academy Championship competed over 3 holes, last terms winner pictured here was Anastasia Herries a name to look out for in the future. 

     

This weekend we were focusing on Putting. We make putting practice really fun and competitive through various different games. Here is one of them in Golf Bowling. Unconsciously the juniors are improving pace and direction. Fun learning is always good.

Half Term Camp

We are running a fun packed junior half term camp on Wednesday 17th February and Thursday 18th February. The day will be from 10am till 3pm full of games, technical goals and playing hole on the course. If you would like more information on half term camps or the academy please click here.

Junior Seminars

 Last week I have attended two seminars to improve my knowledge of coaching and organising the juniors. Firstly I went to the Junior Delegates meeting at Mid Herts learning about all the county and academy programs. Secondly I attended a Junior Passport Coaching seminar held at the common.
