Here is Sean pictured with his peers. (Second in from the right hand side).
Harry Clarke
A bit of fun.. Harry Clarke was contemplating buying a beanie hat to keep his head warm in this cold weather. I said it is a must as you lose 40 - 45 percent of your body heat from your head. So he purchased this Harpenden Common Logo hat and made a difference to his golf to as he took the money off his playing partners!
Quote 'Harry 45' to receive a FREE pack of hand warmers when purchasing any winter warmers including:

Custom Fit Info
As you know we really promote custom fitting here at Harpenden Common Golf Club. In this section I will show you how important the spin rate is one the driver. Spin rate is the amount of backspin created or revolutions per minute (RPM). It all depends on your launch angle and swing speed.
However a typical example is below, this player will swing it the same speed at approximately 90mph-100mph with a ball speed or launch speed at 140 mph. Launch angle at 11 degrees. Let's see the difference..
- Low spin rate at 1000 rpm carry 181 yards total 225 yards - Optimum spin rate 3000 rpm carry 219 yards total 230 yards - High spin rate 5000 rpm carry 214 yards total 218 yards
As you can see here. The low spin rate will dramatically reduce your carry distance and especially in the winter or soft ground you will be losing a lot more distance.
Optimum spin rate will have a good amount of carry and added run. The higher spin rate reaches a higher total ball flight therefore wind will be factor also the ball will lose run.
These figures have been taken with the FlightScope optimizer so no added technology has been added in. If you are interested in finding out more or to have a fitting with your current clubs contact us here.
Fittings are charged at £25 for that you receive a full custom fit, advice on your current equipment and advice on how to get the most out of your equipment.
Enjoy the rest of the newsletter and have a great weekend.
